Dakota & Aurora are a dynamic husband-and-wife team transforming how businesses manage their finances- combining expert precision with a refreshingly down-to-earth approach that empowers owners to confidently drive growth and success. With years of combined experience across finance, operations, strategic planning, they bring more than bookkeeping - they deliver clarity, confidence, and real partnership. They believe accounting should reflect the business owner’s style - comfortable, approachable, and tailored to fit. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I grew up witnessing the hard work, resilience, and creativity it takes to build and run a business. That experience sparked my passion for partnering with business owners to help them navigate the financial challenges and unlock their full potential. With an MBA and years of experience in accounting and finance, I bring both technical expertise and a big-picture view to support sustainable growth. As Co-Founder of Bigwoods Bookkeeping, I work closely with entrepreneurs to streamline their financial operations and provide clear, actionable insight. My focus is on building trusted relationships so clients feel confident making informed decisions and growing their business with purpose. I’ve always loved working alongside business owners - the problem-solving, big ideas, behind-the-scene decisions that drive it all. After years of financial leadership roles & management, I realized what I enjoyed most wasn’t the numbers - it was helping people understand them, use them, and feel confident in their choices. That passion led me to co-found Bigwoods Bookkeeping with my husband, combining our skills to support other entrepreneurs with the kind of clarity and care we value in our own business. Drawing from my experience as a controller, I bring a deep understanding of financial operations, internal controls, and strategic planning that ensures accuracy and drives growth. My approach combines precision with practicality, delivering not just reports but actionable insights that empower businesses to thrive.

To get business owners back to doing what they love- running their business. In our experience most people don’t start a business to manage their finances. They start a business to follow their passion, service a community and/or provide a unique product.
We know that finances are an integral part of every business and all too often are seen as confusing, stressful or daunting. We do things differently than your average bookkeeper or accountant.
We ditch the suits, large offices and the stigma that you should already understand finance and accounting. We have learned that these environments are intimidating to most and make it difficult to seek out financial services.
We create a welcoming educational environment so we can help clients reach their business and financial goals. We ensure that your business finances are a tool, not an added layer of stress or confusion. We give our clients peace of mind that the work is done and it's done right.
